We are honoured to have been chosen by All Saints Church in Hanley as one of their nominated charities for this year and we look forward to working in close partnership over the coming months.
DE Caversmill were voted "Charity of the year" in a poll by 6 Towns Radio.
We enjoyed continued success at the North Staffs One Act Play Festival. Two of our sections were chosen by the adjudicator as Winner and Runner Up. Both casts then progressed to the quarter final round at Burton. One section was chosen as Runner Up and progressed to the Semi Final. Although this years journey ended there, we were so proud of our cast and a wonderful experience was had by all involved.
For the second year in a row, we have received a nomination for "Best Pantomime in District 3" at the West Midlands NODA awards. We may not have won this year, but we were very pleased to receive the nomination.
Our signed performance was a storming success once again, and it was lovely to receive a special award in recognition of this.
However, our most significant achievement has come about whilst all this was going on. After much form filling and many criteria to meet and exceed, three years of hard work has come to fruition as we have now been granted Registered Charity Status. We are all so proud of this achievement as it has been a real team effort.
